MSU Dairy Youth

Support Michigan Dairy Youth

Show your support for youth dairy programs at Michigan State University by giving a tax-deductible monetary gift that will be used to support youth dairy programming and related activities.

You can make your gift in one of the following ways:

  • Online
  • By mail
  • By phone

Dr. Joe Domecq, MSU dairy youth specialist, would be happy to visit with you about the many ways you can make a gift to the Michigan Dairy Youth Program that reflects your personal interests and goals. Contact him at (517) 355-7855.

Other giving opportunities include:

Michigan Livestock Expo "Sale-abration"

Join other supporters by contributing towards the purchase of dairy products symbolically representing the grand champion showperson and the grand and reserve champion cows from MSU Dairy Days. MSU Dairy Days is held annually in July in conjunction with the Michigan Dairy Expo, the state’s largest dairy event, at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education in East Lansing. In lieu of selling animals at the annual auction, dairy products represent the champion showperson and the owners of the champion animals. Each youth is guaranteed to receive $1,000, with monies above this amount donated to the Michigan Dairy Youth Program.

Cheese Curds

Each year the MSU dairy processing plant produces a batch of cheese curds made from the milk produced during Youth Dairy Days at the Michigan Dairy Expo. A percentage of the sale from each package of cheese curds is donated to the Michigan Dairy Youth Program to support youth dairy programming and activities. For more information or to place an order, contact Dr. Joe Domecq at (517) 355-7855.
